Look! This is the new
Agricultural Policy of Kerala Government. Kerala Government is offering Rs.
500.00 per coconut tree for cutting down the tree and to make it extinct from
the Coconuts Own Country. The farmers are very happy to cut down the trees as the
Kerala coconuts are vanishing from the Kerala Markets. Government is
encouraging the imports of coconuts from other countries to make Kerala nuts
vanish from the global markets. The farmers now-a-days are not even harvesting
the coconuts as the harvesting cost itself is not met from the sale of
coconuts. At the same time coconuts and the related products from the global
competitors are ruling the Kerala Markets.
